HISTORY OF PRAIA DE MINAS

In the 60's, our parents came from Portugal and settled in this little piece of paradise in Minas Gerais, now known as Praia de Minas. They brought in delicious baggage and souvenirs of smoked sausages. What at the beginning was only for family consumption, over time, conquered the population of São Lourenço. Then came the idea of showing the visitor what we have in our rural area, making the farm in one of the most sought after tourist spots in the region. This piece of ecological paradise is located only 1600m from the entrance to the Parque das Águas.

In a mild climate, in the Mantiqueira de Minas waters, the freshness of the air mixes with the aroma of typical snacks from Minas Gerais.

Praia de Minas was born from the desire to show our visitors what São Lourenço is keeping in its rural area A delicious refuge surrounded by nature where you can taste the delights of Minas Meet the alembic cachaça "Da Praia de Minas, homemade sausage, sausages and smoked, rural crafts and varied souvenirs. Visit still farm animals Pony, ostriches, rabbits, geese, pigs, horse, mini cow, guinea pig, peacock, pheasant, turtle, sheep, chicken, duck, fish, turkey and much more make the children happy and enchanting the adults. We also have the Atelier de Pintura Isaniara Junqueira, with permanent exhibition.
